ContainerField

Purpose

Returns the container schema data by field for a file on the FirstClass server.

You can use ContainerField with a server file opened using FindFirst/FindNext to refer to the currently found item. This allows retrieval of container schema data without opening the item itself.

You can also use ContainerField with a container opened with OpenFile. If you do this, use the Index argument below, or only the first item's schema data will be retrieved.

Assigning a value to this method allows for setting container schema data. Data will be propagated to the item if the container schema is configured to do so.

Syntax

ServerFile.ContainerField (FieldID [, Index] )

FieldID	The ID of the field in the container schema of the open container from which you want to retrieve data.
Index	The integer that represents a row in the container's data.
