Purpose
Used for date data in a valid date format such as 1/1/2000 or January 1, 2000, as well as time data.
 Note You can also use numeric data types for dates. If you do this, values to the left of the decimal represent the days from December 30, 1899. Values to the right of the decimal represent time as a fraction of a day (for example, 12:00 PM is represented as .5).

January 1, 100 to December 31, 9999
